Please, we don't want this to be a one way conversation.

It may be a little intimidating to come to a rec. boater forum and post, but I promise...as the webmaster...I will keep it fair and make your point valid and any deconstructive comments will be moderated.

Please, let us know what we can do to help improve your experiences.

I'd like to know how far away fisherman want me to stay while on my catamaran and they are anchored...  I always feel like I'm getting the "stink eye" when I'm sailing around near them.

Well after many years of sailing while receiving the stink eye and after much discussion with my fishing friends it was determined that most fisherpersons assume anything with sails has an 8 foot long finely sharpened appendage under the boat specifically for cutting lines.  In addition if cutting didn't work there is an oversized rudder for specifically designed for tangling lines.

Personally I stay as far away as feasible, it is a big lake and I am generally in no rush.

I am all of the above: Fisherman, Sail, Power, Ski/Wakeboarder, Jet Skier
Now, If you can see the fishermans stink eye. Well too close
If you are moving they are anchored it's 100 ft of passage unless on a river
If they are out beyond 100' with their lines, Boo them 2 points keel and Rudder

I don't know I'm just babbling now. I don't care a bunch and don't get close to other boats really

How many acres is this lake??
